MINI Coopers
in the Alabama River Region

Greetings fellow a MINI owners,

While taking walks in the neighborhood and motoring in and around town, I’ve spotted several MINI Coopers (five other MINIs within a half mile radius of our house), and over 50 in the greater Montgomery area.

While there is no MINI club (that I know of) closer than the Alabama Motoring Society in Birmingham, I wanted to be sure you knew that the British Motoring Club of Montgomery fills that niche nicely for British car owners in central Alabama.  They meet on the second Monday of each month, at the Wachovia Bank meeting room, just off of the Eastern Bypass near Vaughn Road.  While many of the BMC cars are from the fifties, sixties, and seventies, there are several MINIs,newer Jaguars, and a Lotus.  They’re a very friendly group.  We’ve really enjoyed the monthly road trips.

I also thought it might be helpful to exchange information on the best places for tires, batteries, oil changes, and other post-warranty maintenance.  If you think you might be interested, Id like to hear from you.

Let’s Motor,

Russell
